Doris Duke’s pool house on Oahu, known as the Playhouse, is a two-guestroom structure modeled after a 17th-century Iranian royal pavilion. Built between 1936 and 1938 as part of her Estate in Honoluu, Shangri La. It sits across a 75-foot pool and served as a private retreat and dance studio.
