Mānana Island (Rabbit Island), is a 63-acre uninhabited islet located just 0.75 miles off the southeastern coast of Oʻahu, Hawaii, right near Kaupō Beach and Makapuʻu Point. The islet got its famous moniker for two reasons: its physical shape resembles a rabbit's head (with its floppy ears laid back in the ocean) and it was once a colony for introduced rabbits
