I’ve been drawing and doing watercolor homes since I was 7yrs old. I actually still have the first portrait I did of a Great Dane when I was 7 yrs. The paper is so old, I keep it tucked away. I pull it out once every few years to remind myself I can persevere doing in my Art, putting it out into the world for that 7yr old me. She would be so proud and excited to know how far she has gone and see how much her skills have evolved. I persevere the tough computer days, taxes days, no purchase months, business admin days, and the long dedicated days I illustrate for my books, getting back to art after a long break days for that little girl towards her hopes and dreams and earn her pride and do her proud.
